Frequently asked questions

A few common questions about FinanceGuide, our tools, and how information is handled.

Do I need an account?

Yes. FinanceGuide planning tools are available without an account or paid subscription. Some tools may store your inputs locally in your browser.

Can I talk through my numbers with someone?

Yes. Request a consultation and we’ll walk through your budget, credit, or retirement figures with you. Bring the numbers from the planning tools so the conversation stays concrete.

How accurate are the calculators?

Our calculators use standard financial formulas and clearly defined assumptions. Results are estimates rather than guarantees, and actual outcomes can vary based on rates, fees, taxes, market conditions, and account-specific rules.

Where is my saved calculator data stored?

Tools that offer local saving use your browser's local storage. This means the saved information remains on that browser unless you clear the stored site data.

How can I report a content correction?

Select “Content correction” in the inquiry type field and describe the relevant page, section, and information that should be reviewed. Providing the source or context is helpful when available.
